Soft Catch
Soft Catch is a body of work developed during a residency at CMR Project Space in Redruth which explores the thinness between things. A technique of proactive care used by belayers to protect their climber from the forces at play during a fall is widened to consider the interconnectedness of processes and cycles between various forms. Sculptures, photographs and paintings overlap, collide and collapse with one another. Their thin skins allow for states of being to osmose between bodies and geologies, fragility and resilience, stability and collapse. |
