Being, in touch

A group show by Erika Cann, Millie Laing-Tate and Laura Robertson.
Monday 09 June - Sunday 06 July, Traction Project Space, Exeter

Erika Cann, Millie Laing-Tate and Laura Robertson meld their art practices together through a process-led and playful collaboration. In the window of Traction, the trio will develop their material-driven approach to making that emerges through ongoing conversations about movement, time, the porosity of boundaries and the space in-between.

Both within their studios and outside in changing landscapes, the artists explore a fleshly relationship with the local geological environment. Interactions within the ecosystem correspond to bodies and modes of making. Sculptural, photographic and stitched materials squish, fold and overlap through skin to skin encounters. New synergies form each time they meet.
